Orange film on grass

    My front lawn which is mostly blue grass and fescue has this orange tint to it in some places.

    If I walk on the lawn, I will get an orange residue on my feet that is kind of slimy.

    Never seen this before, any help would be great.

    sounds like rust. If so, it can be controlled by proper mowing and fertilization. In effect, your lawn simply outgrows it.
