Ordered another new bob-cat today!

    The machine in the pictures is not a G model. It has the wrong fuel tanks, wrong seat, wrong foot lift, wrong handle for the deck lift, fuel selector in the wrong position and other things that definitely make it a non G model.

    Do not purchase the 37hp kawi....its been in the shop more than it has been on a lawn.

    The traction of the mower is terrible....so much for my love and faith towards bob-cat

    :(

    The controls seem to feel like you're doing push ups all day long.... But it just has NO TRACTION. Even when turning on dry flat ground you cam stil do some serious damage if you don't do a three point turn, even on the most forgiving turf types . Hillsides..... Well it once again has no traction. Im not sure how else to describe the situation. Constantly feels like you're sliding, operators position feels like a bar stool...

  7. Something that I am about to do to my Bob-Cat is to add a weight to the platform just underneath the muffler. The 72 inch decked Bob-Cat's get 11 plates on the rear of the engine guard instead of only 1 plate that comes on the 61 inch models. The newer John Deere models come with an iron looking rear bumper so I'm trying to enhance the weight to the rear tires in a slightly more redneck way.

    you can change the tension by moving the dampen rods, they come set one hole from the back. I noticed that they seem to be touchy compared to the older machines. have been running mine with about 10 psi in the rear tires, It took a while but my wife got use to it

    The 03 model is the one that would be 18310 and thats at 3400 RPM engine speed.

    Be sure to grease the control arm pivot area as that is new to BOB-CAT this year. There are two zerks per control arm. Two are on the outside of the frame and the other two are accessed from the front of the unit thru the frame. As mentioned earlier, the steering dampners can be repositioned to give you more or less resistance. Be sure your rear tire pressure is set at 10 PSI or up to 12PSI max. 10PSI will give you the widest contact patch with the ground. You may also try jacking the front of the unit up and see if the casters pivot freely, if not you can knock the dust caps off and adjust the castle nut to free things up. Why, because if the casters don't pivot freely the unit will not want to turn very easily. One last thing to try is, make sure that your hydro-tank is filled to the bottom of the filler neck tube. With that level correct you can be sure that you are not sipping a little air into the hydro system. The sticker on top of the tank will show the proper oil level as well.

    Try this stuff and let me know if it helps.
