Wondering what is a good selective weed killer for lawns that is not a pre em.
We are testing such a product now. It is an OMRI listed, EPA 25(b) Minimum Risk Pesticide selective post-emergent.
so at this point there isnt anything available like this?
we have lots of tools for insects but not much for weeds except sweat and iron. Iron being a good shovel.
At this time the closest product is Fiesta Weed Killer. It is an EPA Bio-herbicide selective post emergent. The active ingredient is chelated Iron, it is not an organic product but has a very low toxicity rating.
I just think it's funny that iron poisoning is one of the leading causes of cancer in young men, and FIESTA is supposed to be "safe".
Like grandma & grandpa always used to say..."everything in moderation".
If not iron, what's YOUR solution for broadleaf weeds?
Sooner or later it will come down to a "Weed Hound" or such other product for people to control their weeds with... Physical labor instead of toting spray bottles...
The best Iron for a organics is a shovel.
