    Same thing happend to my 06. Wife was driving at the time. Luckily it happened 2 blocks from the dealer. She limped it there. Was around 1100 to fix. Said if we had warranty it wouldn't have been covered. Some extended warranty will cover those parts of you have it.

    We are contracted to do emergency/disaster tree & debris removal. Like Jim said i live in hurricane central (the gulf coast). I had that put on right before Hurricane Isaac hit us. I just never took it off.
