I am in a bidding war with another company that is giving me problems. Could you guys give your input on this situation:

12yds mulch, easy application, no hills etc
    220' of new edge
    Weeding beds
Clearing a 32'x7' area of weeds, sticks etc..to make a island around trees

My price $760/what do you think?

My cost just on the mulch would be about $320 + delivery. How long to do the job?

My price on the mulch install alone would be $550.00, but I don't know what your region will allow. With the edging, weeding, etc., if someone else wants to do it for less that your price, I would say let them have it. Doesn't sound really profitable to me. Just my two cents. Good luck.

Why do you want to get into a bidding war in the first place? Your price is your price and you do quality work, right? By the time you add up all your time invested in trying to beat the other LCO, you could have moved on to another job profitable job. My .02 By the way, mulch installed without the extras ranges from $60-$70 per yard.
