I have a 246 with the Loegering tracks, I've been very happy. I didn't research the tracks much before I bought the machine, and bought it as a package with bucket, tooth bar, forks, cab/heat, and tracks. Very little wear on the tracks in 4 years, and the machine will go almost anywhere.

I have had Loegering and grousers in the past both have worked well, stay away from generic tracks. I don't know much about Cat drivelines but I know some brands Don't seam to hold up well to tracks. Keep maintnaince up on the driveline. I see good deals on used tracks sometimes probably because so many are buying CTL's.
