Need a little help on this estimate since I don't don't really clean out garden areas. I am not sure what the going rate is for this. My minimum charge is $35.00/hour so you don't need to explain to me overhead costs, etc. etc. I just want to make sure that I am not screwing myself.

-20' x 30' Garden Area enclosed by chainlink fence
-Need to clear everything out down to the dirt

I figure I'd spray and kill everything, go in and weedeat everything down, rake it out and then hand pull the rest. I guess I'd be looking at 4-5 total hours by myself?

    Thanks for the advice.

    This is too easy--- 4-5 hours x $35 = $157.50---- Did I do good??

But I feel your rates are too low.
And what about ---what to do with the debris---drive time for 2 trips, one to kill off and another to come back in a few days to clean. Always figure total hours for the whole job

I agree with pm - i would go for $300.00 if you think you can get it.

That's why I was asking. If the going rate for something like this is 45-55 and I am only charging 35 then I'd be ripping myself off. Thanks for the help though. I am going to charge her $245.00 and she will be disposing the debris.

Sounds like that will work good.
