some pics of the second fecon on the job, this thing was a beast!!!!
That thing looks pretty cool
it was, to turn that 10'' log laying there into chips as fast as i could walk up it was awesome. i wish they could put a nice suspension seat in a machine that expensive though.
Picasso, TractorByNet.com has a lot of guys that do mulching under thier construction equipment forum, might be a good resource if you are looking for info on a new piece. BTW the green looks good, but I thought i'd try something that stands out, still waiting on the lettering.
Nice equipment! I really like the color!
Easy to spot me in a crowd
I'm definitely going to paint my trucks a bright colour. I was thinking something along the lines of the green of the top banner, or maybe a shade darker.
BTW, where exactly are you loacted. I'm in Richmond Hill (45min north of T.O.)
I'm located about 2.5 hrs noth west of Toronto, on the sunny shores of Lake Huron, 20 minutes west of Walkerton, and 10 minutes South of one of the worlds largest Nuclear Generating stations. Good spot to be, we have our own little micro economy here, when it's boomin, it's boomin, like it is now, and when it's not it's a ghost town. How's things down your way? Did you make it to the Landscape Ontario Expo?
Things are great in my area. There's a bunch of 70's and 80's neighbourhoods that have bungalows on 120'x300' lots that are being torn down and new $2mil+ homes are being built so I get a fair bit of work from some builders. Richmond Hill has the 2nd highest avg family income (about $105k) in ON, just behind Oakville, so there's enough money to go around. This is my first year with a truck so I'm looking to increase income by 5 times. I only did about $6k last year (no truck) so I'm looking for $30k+ this year. Lots of that money will come from sod installs and bobcat work. I'm also looking to buy a Dingo 525.
How many people are in your town?
5000 in our town and growing, 12000 in the whole municipality. The average wage here is likey in the 80k to 90k in a single income household. Big boom on for housing, 400 new building lots coming online this year, thats a pile for a town with 5000 people, although I don't know where the people to fill them are going to come from. I think Bruce Power has maxed out it's employee #'s unless they get a new reactor build. My wife and I work together, and did about 130k last year and hoping to improve on that this year. I'd like to get some of this equipment paid for and get a 3 ton with a hook lift and a few bins next year.
