i have a 2004 chevy 3500hd dump i see a lot of other dumps parked with the bed slightly raised to i guess let the water out when it rains. what is wrong with just dumping it after it rains, or is there another reason thanks

We do it only when its empty. And let the rain was the bed out, and helps keep the bed some sitting with water and letting rust forming.

I also believe so if the hydro system gets suck the weight of the bed will bring it down and help the problem

most people keep it raised a little bit and the tail gate open to keep water and snow ect from and rust filling it ,sure you got to lower it and latch it before you go but nothing is worse when picking up a load of mulch or dirt with a bed full of water and leaves . just my opinion .
