I have been running a lawn care co on a part time basis now for 10 years, This year I have Decided to quit my real job and pursue this as a Career.

I would like to know how you all bid jobs. I have always done it on a per time basis, but in July/Aug it gets tight for money. I thought of having a minimum of 22-24 mowings per year for my regular accounts. and 15-18 mowings per year for my 10 day accounts. Is this reasonaable???

Also I have always bid jobs based on the time I felt it would take @ $32.00 Per hr. I have looked at my past 2 yrs worth of accounts and figure I am averaging about $42.00 per hour with this formula. Just wondering if this is reasonable.

And another also, I have never signed contracts with customers, but feel I need too now to protect myself, anyone willing to share what your contracts look like

    Much Appreciated

To answer your 3 questions, I would suggest 3 seperate searches.

In the order of your questions, I would use these words to search:

    1. "Pricing" (or "Pricing lawns")
    2. "Hourly rate"
    3. "Contract" (or "Contract Examples", "Contracts wanted").

You'll have PLENTY to read and learn from.
