    but seriously i have a friend that wants to be a silent partner.
    what's the diff in a reg partner and a silent partner and don't anyone be a smart %$& and say they can talk. :dizzy:

    The difference is that a silent partner has only money invested and has no control of the operations of the company(not allowed to make decide if co. is sold, pricing, hire or fire employees, ect.). They still make a part of the profits; what ever percentage that you sell out to them. You also have to change your lics. to a partnership and update your insurance to include that persons name.     Had a partner a few years back,i would not suggest it. Just my Opinion thou. He found Lawncare and Landscaping was not for him.A silent partner will only invest money and make no Business Decision's.Why then let Him make money off your hard work.Unless he's buying all your equipment and your only giving him a very very small percent i wouild say No.:waving:
