I HAVE A CUSTOMER REQUESTING A PAVER PATIO. THE PROBLEM IS, THE GRADE OF THE YARD SLOPES TO THE HOUSE, AND THE HOUSE IS SUCH THAT THE BOTTOM ROW OF SIDING IS ONLY A FEW INCHES ABOVE GRADE. I KNOW I COULD CUT INTO THE SLOPE AND BUILD A KNEE WALL TO BE ABLE TO SLOPE THE PATIO AWAY FROM THE HOUSE, HOWEVER THERE HAS BEEN EXTENSIVE DRAINAGE WORK DONE IN THIS AREA AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO TAMPER WITH IT. SO MY THOUGHT IS USE ONE COURSE OF WALL BLOCK , SOMETHING SOLID SO I WON'T NEED A CAP. PUT THIS ALONG THE WALL OF THE HOUSE, TOUCHING THE SIDING AND THEN CONTINUE AS NORMAL. I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS POOR A GRADING JOB AND MUST WORK AROUND IT, SO ANY HELP WOULD REALLY BE GREAT.

Fireman crown the pavers so water shed off them to the left and right crown should run down the center of the patio and water should run off it.
