    Hey guys,

One of our guys has a tricky driveway job to do that uses wetlaid flag and pavers. The pavers are 2-3/4" with 1" of bedding sand and the flag is 1-1/2". He doesn't want to use more than a 1/2" mortar bed for the flagstone but also doesn't want to have to pour concrete at two different levels. Other than not pouring concrete for the paver section I can't think of any other solutions. I figured I would put it on here and see if anyone else had any ideas. Should we just lay the pavers on a granular base or is there any way to keep them on concrete?

This is the perfect scenario to utilize "split" pavers, which are only 1 1/4" thick. It's getting harder to find much selection in them though, at least in clay.
