I was at our local nursery this past weekend and I asked him if he had any perennial ryegrass and he said he does and its a 50 lb bag for $89.99 but he said he would let me buy it for $79.99. Does this seem about the going rate? I forgot the name of it but it looks like a golf tee with a golf ball on it with somehthing like match something as the name. Is this reasonable?

There is so much reseeeding going on...demand is high...the better types will sell out quick. And then...the seed companies may sell the older types at a premium price.

No, one bag for my own lawn...and my JDL guy delivers it on his way home so I don't have to travel 30-40 miles one way to get it.

If I get perennial, will I still have to overseed each year like I would if I went with annual rye? I know perennial means it will come back each year, but I didn't know if NC got too hot to kill the perennial from coming back.
