I realize there is a ton of good info on this site, but I don't always have access to a computer. Can you all recomend some text books or other material to study up on application and use of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Also what other things do I need to consider (liscense, fees etc...),before offering these services to the public.

    gamoose:

For the question of licensing, check with your state dept. of ag for the rules.

Go to your local extension office, they have a lot of publications for free. They also have order forms for books that you can buy.

You will need to take a test to get an applicator's license. Once you pass that you will have to apply for a commercial applicator's license, this requires proof of insurance.

Let me know if you want more specific info.

When you call the county ext. to get your license info, they will send you several books to study with, the kit is free here.
