I just passed the test in Winston-Salem. There were about 200 people taking it, I think they were all from G'boro! Just kidding! The test is 100 questions so, you'd have to miss 31 to fail. Remember the most important question TO THEM, "Who administers the pesticide laws in NC?", commissioner of agriculture. Study that flimsy little green pamplet, know how many square feet in an acre, take a calculator for figuring rates and such. A lot of questions build on each other so if you get the first one wrong, the others will be wrong also. The most important thing is TAKE YOUR TIME AND REREAD EACH QUESTION BEFORE ANSWERING. Good luck and let me know how you did.

Tony I failed the test in January by one point. I re-took the test yesterday in Raleigh. I won't know for a week or so the outcome, but it was hard in my opinion!

Sorry to hear that. I hope you made it this time. You said you thought it was hard. That must mean you have an idea where you may have problems? What areas do you think they were?

Tony, I would say the hardest part for me was disease names and the conditions they fluroish in!

I took the test yesterday in Morganton, NC. Thought it was pretty easy, mostly common sense except for the disease questions. Instructor told me that the study book for the O&T section is being rewritten and will be approximately 225 pages. It should be released in late summer so get the test passed before then.

I would say that if they're going to put a book out with that many pages, they may even go so far as to require some experience under a license holder also. They raised the annual fee to $50 already. I'm not one for more regulations but, we all know someone who isn't licensed therefore not insured. It would really keep the "scrubs" from taking business.
