I'm replacing my 2nd pump in 2 seasons. PG says they should
last a season and a half. Has anyone else had this problem.
I only use speedzone with it. Shurflow pumps are used maybe
    there is a better pump?

    Thanks

We have had the same problem. Speedzone swells the valves inside the Shurflo pumps. The Flojet pumps work much better with speedzone and last longer.

How many Hours do you average on your PG a season?

I replaced a pump but it was a broken wire in the motor.
I use trimec classic in ti and haven't had any pumping problems. I was thinking of running trimec plus in it but now I'm not so sure.
Does PG replace them under warranty?

Trimec plus should be ok. We've had new (Shur-flo) pumps go out in a week with Speedzone. Sometimes they last longer... On our Centri machines we upgraded to Flo-jet 2100 series pumps and the are working well. No failures this season. I'll probably upgrade the Ultra machines this summer sometime.

They have the larger flo-jet pumps as well as the smaller ones that used to come on the PG's.

I got a shurflo pump from PG today, $97, 1gpm/35psi. I was just in Tractor supply and saw they carry a flojet 1gpm/35psi pump for $55!
Heck they looked identical. I then called a ag sprayer fabricator and they quoted me a price for a surflo at $101. So I wonder what gives?

ya, i sa the replacement pump at TS for $50 bucks too.. i would like to install a 2gpm pump, has anybody did this? i looked at a few modles, but the amp draw was higher then the 1gpm pump. the 1gpm pump was like 4amps, the 2gpm pump was 6amp. the charging system on the ultra is 4amps.
