Here is a pic of a commercial account we do - It has not rained since 3rd wk. of May except for a couple of 2 tenth inch showers. In SE. Iowa, this is a 100 year drought. We mowed this property on June 11th, and July 2nd. Only mowed on July 2nd, because it rained about 2 tenths of an inch, and we leveled the stray weeds. Actually the property is very weed free generally.

Yeah, it hurts me to look at that!

We had several years in a row of similar drought.
But the last few seasons have been way opposite.

On a side note, it's been a while since I've seen anywhere that flat.
    You can see for miles...

It's about just as bad here, thank God it's raining as I type this.

It hurts the bottom line, but I hate to mow anyway so the bright side is that you have more free time this summer. Always a better way to look at a bad situation. But that lawn does look stressed :)

we have irrigation around our area so we seldom see this kind of devastation.
We cut in one large subdivision that is having pump problems and the lawns are starting to show a bit of this but they should have the system fixed shortly.

That could be us if the remnants of the hurricane had not parked over Kentucky. Thats all that saved us. The low pressure area stayed here for about a week and saved us.

It's dumb to put in that much lawn then expect the rain to irrigate it.What did they think would happen?
