pinestraw on a hill

    Any sugestions on how to keep pinestraw from sliding down a hill when it rains. My brother has a hill beside his house and planted some junitpers and put down some pinestraw, but the rain makes it wash down the hill.

    pour glue on hill. ONLY KIDDING! u didnt put plastic under it, did u? being the genious that i am, i used to use plastic under the mulch, and could never figure out why it would slide off. i never used pinestraw, u may want to try mulch

    I always start at the bottom of the hill and work up, think of how shingles are applied, overlap kinda like you are thatching a roof,be sure to continue over the top as much as possible. This has worked well for me, but a steep slope and a hard rain,something will give.
