For those of you who actively build your portfolios with great photography (And really, why shouldn't you? You all work in a visual medium, after all.), Pinterest has launched their next step...Pinterest Business. As of now it's free, but like with other services searching for a way to monetize their business, this is assuredly the opening salvo targeting companies.

Will it be a boost for your locally-targeted lawn and landscape business via directly attributable sales? Probably not, but it does give you another outlet to showcase your work, one that is driven by visual sharing, has some nice SEO benefits, and a future big step for them will be localized Pinterest'ing. When it goes hyper local, you'll be glad you already know what you're doing.

On a related note, if any of you need a New Year's Resolution for your business, if there is one thing on the marketing side that you should give serious thought to, it's building a great photographic portfolio to use in brochures, flyers, your web site, etc. Your own work beats stock photography any day of the week.

Speaking of...I've been loosely tracking something related to this for the last few months. I just started a split test and will post when I have presentable thoughts. Obviously, it does have high link value, but at what price and in what dosage is it best utilized?

Another interesting resource for Social Media:

Far from perfect - results only apply to the domain and not pages - but interesting nonetheless.
