I need to think of some plants that are hearty, and healthy, and easy to maintain, but will live well in a pot. the lady i am doing this project for needs plants that can be neglected for a bit and still look decent. any suggestions?

Anything in a pot outside usually requires frequent watering, more than plants in the ground;just ask my wife;she can kill just about anything by putting it out and forgetting to water it.That said she got some hens and chick plants that are planted in an old work boot and it's sitting out in the front flower bed since last year with no care what so ever and it's doing fine.

i think some more ideas may be in order but i like that everyone knows what i was thinking (that it may be impossable to find plants that this lady wont killl).
