    Hello everyone -

Got a plant here that I cannot ID. A friend of mine from Washington emailed me this picture. These just appeared, smooth at first, then started sticking out like in the picture. They are soft, like flower petals.

I am not a plant guy, so anyone have any thoughts on this one?

    thanks

I think it is a wildflower called Hooker's Ground Cone.

it reminds me of a plant in my area.. it's called Indian Pipe.. It lacks chlorophyll and is one of those 'in between plant and fungus' creatures. really interesting and hard to find.

my mistake.. it is close to the blueberry family.. not a fungus whatsoever.
