I'm looking for ideas on what you would plant in an area between a garage and sidewalk that is 2'wide x 25' long. It is in partial sun zone 6. The customer wants very low maintenance, either a row of one type of plant or a varied planting.

    What would you suggest? Thanks!

Sound like a good spot to plunk in a few Euonymus gaiety. Low maintenance just trim them once a year, they will grow right up the wall or you can keep them shaped at any height you like. They are available in green, green with white varigation, gold, or green and gold.

I'd plant a new walkway further from the garage so that a more spacious planting could be done. Often its easier to keep shrubs looking better if they have adequate room to grow and don't have to be constantly pruned to be kept off of the walkway.
