Most garden centers/retail nurseries double the retail price to install the tree.

Find out the retail price and you have your answer. Around here I charge $450 for a 2" tree installed. The tree costs me between $85 - $165 wholesale depending on the variety. The profit pays for the labor, transport, bag of pine fines soil amendment, and a bag of mulch. My company nets $150-$200 per tree after all the expenses, so should you.
