    Hey Guys,
I have a customer who has a wet area in their yard and am thinking about making it into a flower bed. Besides something like pachysandra what else do you think would thrive in a wet partial shade area? Any suggestions would be beneficial.

Not sure what planting zone you are in... But you should look at ornamental grasses, like acorus, that do well in boggy areas.

Use uconn's plant data website and study up on your plant material.

Define 'wet area'. Only wet after heavy rain? Wet all the time? Standing water? This information will affect your choices.

    Many Iris's don't mind wet.

Does the area have to stay wet?
Can a drain area be installed to get the water underground or to run off
Could you build a bern and plant above the wet area
Is the area designated as wet land
Ornamental grasses as was mentioned by headz77 river birch, weeping willow could be good for the area.
    :)
