HELP! I am trying to estimate my first commercial job...

    http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8...A&iwd=1&dtab=0

Not that much to mow, but a lot to trim. They would like trimming, mowing, blowing, as needed broadleaf weed control, fertilization 3x per year, policing for small debris, leaf removal in the fall, trimming/pruning of bushes.

It is the white building to the left of the icon, just north of W Profile Parkway

the west border is the train tracks

the east border is N Curry Pike

the north border is the gravel parking lot, just past the building

Total property size is about 6.5 acres.

How would you charge for a whole season (28 sessions) for each of the following?

    Mowing
    Trimming
    Edging
    Area Police
    Weed Control
    Fertilization
    Leaf Removal
    Shrub Care

    THANKS!

I understand that, however I want to remain competitive. I have never bid commercial before, and I don't want my potential customer to look at my bid and say "What? He wants to charge that? HAHAHAHAHA"

Here is what I initially came up with:

    Mowing 30-40 min
    Trimming 20 min
    Edging 10 - 20 min
    Area Police 10 min
    Weed Control 30 min
    Fertilization 30 min
    Leaf Removal 45 - 60 min
    Shrub Care 20-30 min

    Mowing $1,600
    Trimming/Edging $840.00
    Area Police for Trash $280.00
    Weed Control $1,500
    Fertilization $2,000
    Leaf Removal $1,400
    Tree and Shrub Care $1,000

    Total Contract Price $8620.00
    12 Monthly Payments - $718.00

That link is incomplete, you need to "Copy Location" or "Copy URL" instead of a straight "Copy"

Also, going just by the fact that it's 6.5 acres which is no way to bid,
but based on that alone I think your bid is a bit on the low side.

BTW do not put the breakdown of the cost, or they may try to nit pick it.

50 to 60 minutes to mow AND trim a 6.5 acre property? Is it completely bare, I can not get the map/picture to open.

Using the high end of your minutes, comes out to 4 hrs per visit times
28, equals 112 hrs, divided into 8620.00 equals about 77 per hr..

Don't know how many employees your are using on the job but if 77 per
hr will cover them and turn a profit go for it, if not better adjust your
    bid..
