Im doing an estimate on a mulch job- around 1700 sq. foot total consisting of a bunch of flower beds. How much would you charge?

Wow, the mulch threads are really starting to stack up. Try the "search" tool on this site and you'll find a ton of info on mulch jobs.

    I figure it to be about 213 bags ( 2 yard bags ) ((((((( 3 inches thick ))))))))
    I would charge 852.00
Here is get a bag of mulch for 1.89 plus 6.5% tax, so my cost is 2.01
    profit of 423.87

should not take you too long to lay down
I will monitor this thread to see what others think of my price
    hope this helps

What do you charge for labor, how long to you think it will take? I came up with 213 2 cu. ft. bags. I can an probably lay 50 bags an hour, might take two trips to get all the bags. How much drive time, loading time, etc.

I forgot to mention- the customer is taking care of paying for the mulch and having it delivered. Also, some of the beds really have to be cleaned out and fixed up(putting an edge back on them, ect...)

$60 per yard is a cheap price in my area.
