Growing in Sweetwater, TX (central Texas). Seems like it is wilting in the heat (100+) Growing in a bare spot in a well maintained st. augustine lawn. It looks kind of like st augustine, but more blue and the stems and stolons are fuzzy. The leaves are krinkly and smooth. All growing out of one central root system... Crabgrass?

    It's not crabgrass. Possibly Goosegrass.

I don't think it's goosegrass for the shear fact that it is very hairy... Isn't goosegrass sparcely hairy?

Looks like 3 month old Crabgrass to me. It is a cousin to St Augustine if I remember right.

Yep, that's crabgrass. It's still young and just getting started.
