pond pictures

    Doh! Did you say that you used limestone in your pond!? Won't limestone wreak havoc on the ponds ecosystem and kill fish? Maybe I'm wrong, but that has always been my impression. Other than that the install looks great.....you too Mgardner

    I had heard that from somewhere, but I don't think it is true. The pond is currently about four years old, and a couple of the koi are as big as poodles.

    I remember asking the local pond supply guy about limestone, and he reminded me that I live in KY, where limestone is fairly common in natural ponds and streams. That doesn't mean that you are wrong, but so far this pond has been problem free.

    Those ponds look great. I really like the river birch next to the pond in the first pic.
