how do you plant plants in a pond with the liner at the bottom?
Most plants can be planted in pots that are placed on the bottom of the pond or on "shelves" built into some ponds.
If you have gravel on top of the liner you just plant them right in the gravel. I plant this way and I only use pots for invasive plants like the Lotus. If you decide to use the pot method use good pots so the plants don't grow through the pots (baskets). It looks more natural with the plant in gravel and they help with filtration.
