My power steering rack(pump) on my 2004 Dodge ram has had a small leak that is getting worse, is it possible to remove it and put new gaskets or O rings on them? Seems like it would be?

Dodge uses rack and pinion steering or a steering box ?

Rack and pinion steering you take the old one off install a new one on you don't fool with them. A steering box you take off and have it rebuilt or buy a rebuilt steering box.

If its leaking time for a new one it will eventually blow and start to leak bad enough you can't drive it. If you get caught in a road side inspection by the DOT a steering box/rack leak is enough to get you towed.

    Get it fixed right away.

Mine started leaking a couple years ago. Check the fittings on the hoses and put an extra hose clamp on. Then add LUCAS Power Steering fluid. Problem was solved for me and maybe the same for you.
