Thought it would be interesting to see when everyone cranks up their mowing season. Post the date of your first cut, and your location. Big Jim (Down Under) can post his last cut of the season!! Good luck to all this season!!

    Good thread Chris.
It will be interesting to see the replies.

Things are starting to green up here. Hoping to start cutting the first week of April.
I'll check back in here and give the official cut date when it happens. :)

I started mowing a few yards a couple of weeks ago. Mostly weeds for now, but I ain't complaining. Mowing will really start to pick up this week. Centipede was greening up last week and fescue has already begun.

First cut was 03/14/03 in SW Arkansas. 2-1/2 weeks earlier we has 3 days of ice storms followed by 60 and 70 deg. weather. Go figure.

Been mowing mine (my home lawn) 2wice a week for the last two.

First real mowing of good fescue other than my own 3-21-03.

I been feeding my lawn 34-0-0 and 0-46-0 all winter.

    Rocky mount, nc

Noticed some common bermuda greening up today and zoysia earlier in the week. Haven't looked close at centipede.
