What do you guys charge for drilling post holes. I have a customer who wants 16 holes dug 8" wide by 3ft deep. I've quoted him $12.50 per hole. Is this too much or too little? Open to suggestions.

I"d go by hour on this one. If you quote per hole, you'll get screwed if you hit something underground. If I am using a tractor, I charge $75/first hour, then 60 for each hour or part of an hour thereafter. For the ASV RC30 I get $90/$75.:waving: :waving:

How did you come up with the numer 12.50$??

You should never have to ask if you are charging enough for something like post hole digging. You are not going to be lowballing someone. You just have figure out what it is worth to you.

what do you charge for an hour of your time. You have to remember that you aren't selling the holes that you are going to dig. You are selling the time slot in your day that it will take to dig the holes to that customer.
