What do you guys charge to drill post holes and install the posts for customers? I've got a helper and a two man auger. Last time I charged by the hole and we hit rocks and it took extra time. I'm thinking my best bet is to charge by the hour. What do you typically charge for hourly rate something like this?

    Two men ($25/hr)
    Auger $55 rental fee
Time to install 16 posts with concrete?

Let me know what you think. I can provide more info if you need it.

I would still want to charge by the hole, but a hard dig charge is a neccessity when it comes to digging.

50 per hour dont bid a $ amount per hole due to your lack of knowledge about whats under the grass. also dont forget to have the utilities marked and have the customer sign a waver for unmarked lines.
