Postcards or Letters?

I am curious what people have had better response rates with. Postcards or Letters? Costs for postcards are cheaper, but letters provide more information. In the past I have used letters with great success, mainly because of my mailing lists. But with the creation of a website, my thinking is that I could give them just enough info to get interested, and then direct them to my website.

Anybody have any thoughts on this....or any history of personal data between the two. I am concerned about switching from letters since it has worked so well, but if I went with postcards I could send out more, and have more people actually looking at them (since they wouldn't have to open the letter)

    Hi drsogr,

I think postcards might work better for you because they don't have to open the envelope first. Many pieces of mail are thrown out immediately before being opened. At least with a post card you have a chance of getting your message to them.
