Hey I just need a little advise. I have a little Poulanlawn tractor that for some reason wont go into neutral. The shift leaver works fine in all other gear, but when I shift it to neutral it just stays in gear. Is there some adjustment somewhere or possibly something broke? Any advise would be heplful:hammerhead:

You didn't post model numbers so I can't look it up, So is the shifter on the right rear fender ? And check out the 4th thread in this forum for future reference.

It is a Poulam model No 271491 with a 14.5 HP B&S motor and has a 38" cut.
The shift leaver is mounted kind of between your legs below the stearing wheel.
    Thanks for your responce.

Let me clarify this, You can shift from 1st to 5th gear and they all work and you can shift to reverse and it works but you have no neutral. Is this correct ?

Yes that is correct. I put the shifter in the neutral position and it stays in gear.
The gear pattern is 54321NR all other gears ingage properly.

Sounds like you have play in the shifter, Check as below. I'll bet you could shift back from a forward gear and stop just past the neutral stop and find it.
Also check the holes in the shifter plate where the shifter rod goes thru.
