Has anybody seen the new powerswipe product from nextel? You can accept and process your customers credit cards right on the phone by swiping the card with an attachment on the side of the phone. I thought that it was pretty cool.

What will they come up with next? Ain't technology great!
Only question that comes to mind is the security of sending a card number over the airways. Maybe it's not an issue but....

im sure theyve figured out a secure way to encrypt that information. I mean NASA figured a way to encrypt information all the freaking way to the moon. I'm sure netel has a way to go down a few blocks to the nearest tower.

If your phone is java enabled you can download a script called Aircharge for free and process cards. Another option is to get a laptop computer with a sierra card and run the cards through your virtual terminal.
