I would like to repair all the bare spots in my lawn this spring. I would also like to apply a Fert/Pre Emerg. Can both of these be done at the same time?

If so, what is the best method?

No you cant put pre m down and over seed.

  3. BUY all means a pre emerge can be applied when seeding. Use sidron ( turpesan) can be bought with a starter fert as carrier.
    Only last for 4 weeks.

pre em, or pendamethlin, can't be applied when seeding if you WANT desire grass to germionate!!!!!!!!!1

Also I believe you can break the surface and till to negate the pre-em in the places you want to seed and get germination. Correct me if I`m wrong.

  5. Lightly breaking the surface will not negate the pre emerge

I meant like tilling the surface maybe three inches because pre-em works on the surface .
