I have accounts signed up for aeration and it is time for an app of pre(dimension). Dont want to not do the job but think it may be a bad idea to do both aroung the same time. Any suggestions?

Should be no problem. Check the label to be sure, but I think Dimension will only prevent broadleaf weeds. Sure wouldn't try it with no dern Snapshot!

If you are planning on seeding in conjunction with aeration I wouldn't. What turf type?
As with nearly all pre-ermergents, disruption of the "barrier" that it provides will almost certainly lead to crabgrass/grassy weed problems down the road and aeration does a great job of that. If straight aeration alone I would not apply Dimension until after you have done the aeration job and even then I would allow the turf to recover (1-2 wks.) or you might see some minor damage. Almost all pre-emergents give some level of control or suppression of a limited range of broadleaf weeds but their primary job is crabgrass control not broadleaf weeds. Ask your county extension agent if he has field test data to show efficacy of control and rates.

Thanks for the link Jim. Had to add that to my favorites list. Of course I had to drop a porno site to make space. LOL
