Should I use a granular or liquid for a pre-emergent on my St. Augustine lawn. I have a Solo backpack sprayer and also a Scotts spreader sold by Lowes that I will be applying pre-emergent and also fertilizer to my lawn. All products will be purchased from Lesco because there is one only about 5 miles from my employer. I have 2000sq.ft that is broken down into 5 grids none being any more than 500sq.ft. I would like to make note that I had a bad chinch bug problem last year that left me with lots of weeds going into the winter (my previous posts can be checked for more info on this matter).
Thanks to a great site Playersc.

liquid always works better. After I get a new lawn under control I then go to granular to maintain it
