Went to a John Deere univ. last month in Chattanooga. The first speaker talked about having Pre-m in every round (low rate @ 6 wk. intervals) all the way up till August. Then being able to seed 6 weeks later. I'm not sure what product he was speaking of his name was Doc Pennington from BASF. I looked at every label they all said wait at least 90 days to seed.

Anybody know what he was talking about?

Its a fantasy world, IMO... I don't know of any pre-m that would dissipate/neutralize in 6 weeks without water...

Rate is going to have a lot to do with it. You split your rates, you decrease time and efficacy.

Split rates all summer long sounds like an accumulation of chemical in the soil... buildup could be quite extreme by the end of the season... I'd stick with label instructions...

No lawn needs the constant harrassment of root inhibitor anyways... :)

Root inhibitor, and it's a good idea to switch your chemical each year too.
