I can get em a little less than that. But then I'm about an hr from the factory.
    Less shipping.

Some times you can find a quality used one for a lot less.

I paid $3000 for my 02 back in January this year. Put $1200 in it right away and a few other small parts thru the summer.
I'd say its paid for itself this year. Sure saved A LOT of time versus using 21s to reach the same width of cut.

sounds about right, but with winter almost here, maybe you can pick up a good used one for less, worth a try

I don't use Walkers but my Scag dealer sells them too. He has the 48" for $10,995+tax. This price is with a 23 Kohler that is not efi. Does the 26efi really add that much to the price?

    Apparently so.

I'd like a chance to run the two side by side.
Just to be able to compare power and fuel consumption differences.

fuel consumption and power are drastically different 23 vs 26. 26 EFI is really the only way to go

I've got a friend/competitor that says once you man up and go with the diesel option you'll never go back, even to the 26 hp.
Power and fuel consumption is way different.
