Hey guys, not to beat a dead horse or anything as I know that there have been a lot of aerating questions, but recently I had a customer call (not a regular stop) looking to have his lawn dethatched, but just wants me to do the mechanical part of it, he'll lay his own seed (lol that could be misunderstood) and fertilizer. Basically, I'm going in with a dethatcher, running the machine and then using my Walker to clean up the mess. I haven't had a chance to look or measure yet, but he claims around 13k Sqft. What do you think?? I told him we start around $75 and go up from there and would give him a better idea once I have a chance to swing by. what do you think?

It all depends on just how much thatch there Is...but to keep It simple a average dethatch job would be approx 2x the mowing cost. If you have to take the debris away with you, tag on a dump charge.
