I am bidding on a pretty large piece of property here in St. Louis:
The lot is vacant - some honeysuckle bushes and two trees - around 1/2 acre of weeds/brush - some places up to 1ft tall by now. No hills, nothing to mow around besides the trees. The bid is to mow every two weeks for the duration of time it is on the market. This also includes a one-time cleanup of the bushes, etc.

I was thinking $75 per, (after the initial clean-up) but that may be a little low.

So what is the going rate for large jobs like this?
I'm interested to know how other lco's would bid this.

Sounds good to me. Should not take you more than 30 minutes I wouldn't think.

1/2 acre isn't that large, but because its so tall, your price seems in line.

Are you going to be using that 36 walk behind?

If so, I'd be $10-$15 higher for every two weeks growth.

Yes, I will be using the 36" wb.
I (apparently) got the job today - will start on it Friday. She did ask if the price was a little high, but I reminded her about the tall weeds, etc. and she agreed.

You're certainly not high for 2 weeks growth; I was saying I'd prolly be more if possible.
