Hello, I am looking to buy a new truck. I have been looking at a new 2011 chevy work truck 2500hd gas. the truck specs are 4x4, power widows/locks, ext cab, plow package. I have two quotes for 28,800. Does this look like a good deal? Also, anyone with this truck, could you list some pros and cons? Thank you

There's a $2000.00 rebate in my market (MA/NH) right now. I would expect $1600 at least in dealer discount, minus the $1000 Business Choice rebate from GM that would pay for the Line-X or plow.

The 2012's have been released, so this is a leftover and year old truck if it is on the lot, so there should be a greater discount on the truck.

    Buy TWO for me!!!!

One basic WT 2500 GM HD gas starts at $39,335K here in Canada. That's for a reg cab long box 4x4!

base $39.335 Canadian prices here folks...
    + $1310 - LS package
    + $480 - snow plow prep
    + $0 - no charge 4.10 gears
    + $195 - aux battery
    + $410 - locking diff
    + $295 - 265/70R17 A/T tires
    + $300 - HD trailering
    + $300 - integrated trailer brake
    + $400 - cruise control
    + $105 - upgraded exterior mirrors

Totals with destination $43,165 + 13% tax = $48,776.45 not including license plates, plow, salter, etc....

Dealer incentives help out a bit if you pay cash only, then GM will knock off $7500 to lower it to just under $41K. My GM Visa points knocks off another $2K (maximum amount GM will allow me to redeem although I have like $11K in points...).

Us notherners get ripped off with new vehicle prices, as well as options, right down to the near $1500 delivery charge.

madness - I'd say take it. You can always try to haggle a bit!

If I could smuggle it over the border, I'd get you to get me two so I can resell them here! Good going!!

I also have the option to get the same truck with a 7 1/2 ft western plow for 32,500. Is it worth the extra 4k? thanks

7.5 is too small IMO. When angled the width of the rear wheels will be grater then the plow. Get a 8'.
