I have been plowing this gated community which is private and now they have asked me to take on the grounds. I only have a few commercial accounts and some res. accounts. This community consist of 72 homes. Most of the work would be mowing the roadsides, trimming back any brush, trimming the hedges, keep sidewalks clean, taking care of the entrance way onto the property with a guard shack.
I really have no idea on how to price this. I want to price it by the hour, which is what the company that now does it does, but they would rather have a season price. How do i come up with some numbers for this? Any help would be great! Thanks

What kind of equipment do you have?
I generaly get aroung $60.00 hour with my equipment, however I rarely give price per hour to customers. I can usually figure how long it will take from my educated guess and price it accordingly from that. Safer bidding a little high versus low however.
