Went to visit two near by dealers yesterday to get a price on a mower. I am looking to get a Lazer Z X-Series 52in cut with a 27hp Kohler, model number LZX740KC526. The first dealer quoted me a price of 10,999 without tax and the second one gave me a price of 9,900 out the door, tax and everything. How come such a big difference between the two? Of course the 9,900 sounds a lot better, but my question is. Has anyone heard of them being any cheaper any where else, and if so, what was the price? Money is tight and trying to save what I can.

Blake- you are about 120 miles North from me. I'm not sure about the 52" X, but retail on the 48" S is $8399.00 at my dealer. I asked for $7900 and he met me in the middle at $7950 plus tax. Out the door it was $8506.50....

I think that $10,999 is possibly over inflated for the 52" X. At any rate, I would definitely ask for the price sheet and go with the dealer that is most honest. I like my local guys and the know me by name when I walk in the door.

Exmarks are over priced, if you stuck on Exmark keep shopping or wait towards near the end of the season. If your open to other brands, checkout Snapper Pro, Bobcat, Gravely, etc....or even used.
