I own a small Landscaping business and normally just final grade seed fertilize and straw the yards. Now alot of the counties are making contractors sod the front yards. Can anyone tell me how to bid a sod job. Thank you

The way that I usually charge is.... sod cost the customer 2.50 per roll and then i charge 2.50 per roll to install so if price for sod is 2500.00 the price to install is 2500.00 total job 5000.00 it works for me.... it may not be the best method to use but it works for me.

I have read to price by the sq. footage also. They say from $.99 to a $1.19 which includes the prepping the yard for the sod. Does your cost include that also.

prep work and everything else is included in my price... if you can find quality rolls of sod between .99 - 1.50 let me know....... each farm cuts their rolls of sod different howe ever on average each roll is approximately 18"W x 36"L.... and to find the sq footage multiply L x W
