    Today I got a call to till and clean a 16'x20' patch of grass. I don't know how to charge this since it shouldnt take me a whole lot of time and i don't want to charge hourly. Keep in mind im working with a mantis tiller.

    thanks.

    Based upon your
    lack of experience,
    using the Mantis tiller
    Removing debris

    I would calculate a experienced person could do this job in about 3-4 hours.

    I calculated you to do it in 8 hours at 27.50 per hr.

    Is the area currently turf? If it is, I'd use a manual sod cutter to take the turf out. That should take maybe 1.5 hours. And I think that tilling with a Mantis tiller shouldn't take more than about 2 hours. I've got one that I've used around the house extensively, so I've got a reasonable idea how quickly it tills. That comes to 3.5 hours, multiply that by your desired hourly rate, and voila! You have your price.

    Hope this helps.

    I say it will take you about 10 to 12 hours to do it at a rate of $20.00 an hour ,200 to 240
