One of my existing customers wants a price on a small job. It's an area that has been destroyed by kids and some jobs done on the property. I need to do the following:
    1) remove existing grass
    2) prep area with 2" new top soil, lime, starter fertilizer
    3) lay the sod and roll it

The area is about 300 sq ft. The sod will cost me .20/sq ft approx $60.
But the removal and prep is gonna take some time and some back work. I was thinking $450 for the job. Is that too high? House is in a middle to upper income neighborhood.

I dont usually post on pricing questions, I find it kind of redundant...But here goes:

I am in Canada, and when i priced it out it came to $459.00 CND retail.

I am paying $.24 per sq. foot for the sod. I think you would be low, but it really comes down to your area. If you will be making a buck doing this job, and they are decent customers, then I would think that price sounds good.
